Had a most enjoyable run in the morning, up around the track to the back of Valerie and Lorcan’s house. The weather looked like it was finally coming fine, and warming up nicely, though the pool has a fair bit to go at only 22 degrees. Having had a number of days of stress and rushing about, we thought that taking it quietly today would be a good idea. We spent the morning talking through ideas for renovating/furnishing the apartment etc. We had then hoped to do some sunbathing in the afternoon, but again it started clouding over, then even began to rain, so we changed our plans and headed into Argeles to check out what hardware and furniture shops were there for next year.
A bit disappointing. We had hoped the secondhand shop would be larger with a better range, but there wasn’t really very much there at all. Maybe we will be buying more new than we had thought we might, but the prices are so much less than NZ that it will not matter.
