Up earlyish to beat the hot sun and go on a run. Out the door, a few hundred metres, then we were up on top of the town walls. The wide ramparts make for a great track, and judging by the number of people walking, running and cycling, it is very well used. The length of the walls around the city total 4km, so figured that by the time we had done this and got back home that would be enough. It was. Legs pretty dead even though we have done plenty of walking since our last run in Laroque a few weeks ago.

Sun was out in full force by mid-morning. Walked into town to look in more dress shops and have a general nosy. Properly hot by 12.30pm, by which time most shops were closed for the siesta. Home for lunch and J worked on the front door with olive oil to make it possible to open – we have bent the key forcing it. The previous guests apparently complained about the door, we’re not at all surprised. After lunch John got stuck into more work. He has plenty on, with a lot more stacked up for when we get back home. It’s all going pretty well though.
